A teenager in Cambodia is forced into prostitution. A woman in Somaliland recovers from a brutal attack by her husband. These are stories of violence, oppression, hope and inspiration. Nicholas Kristof, the two time Pulitzer Prize winner and New York Times columnist, shares them with the world in his new book “Half the Sky.” It is written with his wife, Sheryl Wudunn, who is also a Pulitzer Prize winning journalist.

Kristof will discuss the global challenges for women during two appearance at Vol State:
Tuesday, November 10 at 7p.m.and
Wednesday, November 11 at 11:30 a.m.

Both events will be held in the auditorium at Caudill Hall and are free and open to the public.
Kristof will be available for a book signing after each speech.
